Tyson G. Hudson, 34, died Wednesday, January 4, 2006 at his home in Overbrook. He was born December 25, 1971 at Emporia, Kansas, the son of Gerald Kenneth and Linda Sue (Giddings) Hudson. A resident of Overbrook since 2003, formerly of Oklahoma City and Medicine Lodge, a 1990 graduate of Medicine Lodge High School, he was a Customer Service Representative for Kansas Gas Service, and was a union steward and organizer for IBEW304. He attended First Christian Church, Medicine Lodge, and was a U.S. Army Veteran serving from 1990-1992 during Desert Storm.
He is survived by his companion Shelley Sheets, Overbrook; her two sons Kyle Sheets and Brett Sheets, both of Overbrook; his mother and stepfather Linda Sue and Jim Humphrey, Medicine Lodge; his father and stepmother, Jerry and Barbara Hudson, Oklahoma City, a brother, Rance Prewett and his wife Angela, Blue Springs, Missouri; a stepbrother Joel Humphrey, and his wife Krystyn, Lawrence, Kansas; a sister Pam Rutter, and her husband Barry, Carbondale, Kansas, a stepsister Tammi Ohl and her husband Chad, Wichita, Kansas; his grandmothers, Opal Giddings, Beloit, Kansas and Willadene Hudson, Emporia, Kansas; 2 nieces, Brea Rutter and Tori Rutter and 2 nephews, Kaleb Prewett and Jonas Humphrey. He was preceded in death by his two grandfathers, Eddie Giddings and Leo Hudson.
Funeral Service was held on Monday, January 9, at First Christian Church, Medicine Lodge with Pastor Tom Walters presiding. Burial was in Highland Cemetery, Medicine Lodge, with military honors conducted by Fort Riley Honor Guard. Arrangements were by Larrison Funeral Home, Medicine Lodge.
