The following message, from Nancy Westmoreland (email: nwest@webzone.net), shows the above name, Foennies, to be a typo on the part of the 1890 newspaper: My grandmother's older sister was Anna Louise TOENNIES, born 8 Sep 1868. She married John Harms and I believe moved to California, 3 children. I think my gr grandfather John TOENNIES moved the family there abt 1876 or so, stayed abt 10 yrs, moved to OK Territory in 1890's and then to Kiowa CO. KS area.
