REEL #R170/KSHS Microfilm Collection

Eike Johnson Shelley Toler

Redfield Express

Bourbon County’s Redfield Express was a weekly newspaper. The first issue, dated July 12, 1894, was published on Thursdays, under the name of Abram Johnson, as Editor. (Mr. Johnson also served as Bourbon County Justice of the Peace for the West Precinct.) Publication was short lived, ending on November 29, 1894. The newspaper emphasized political content rather than community news, probably accounting for its lack of popularity in the area. Very few personal items appeared, but what information was published has been copied as accurately as possible; errors may still occur. Minor printing errors have been corrected, but otherwise the information is presented as it originally appeared. Please consult the individual reel to verify an item. I do not have any further information about these individuals or families. Contributed by Ellen Knowles Bisson (thebissons@worldnet.att.net)
