McClenahan-Giger

Leah McClenahan, Newton, and Benjamin Giger, Elmdale, were united in marriage at 4 p.m. on Aug. 31, 2002, in Newton. Pastor Don Myer officiated the ceremony.

Parents of the bride are Jerald and Susan McClenahan of Newton. Parents of the groom are Alan and Carol Giger of Elmdale. Maid of honor was Olivia McClenahan and best man was Alan Giger. Other attendants of the bride's were Ivy McClenahan, Andrea Greene, Dana Foster, Jessica McClenahan and Katie Dankert. Groomsmen were Travis Magathan, Darren Wiley, Josh Aberle, Sam Aberle and Jason Froelich. Flower girl was Kelcey Hinz. Ring bearer was Benjamin Hall. Candlelighters were Kara Giger and Valerie Froelich. Ushers were Joel McClenahan, James McClenahan, Matthew Irby and George McDaniel. Wedding musician was Carol Ganguish.

The rehearsal dinner and wedding reception were both held at the Newton Bible Church in Newton. The bride graduated from Berean Academy High School and Pensacola Christian College. She is employed by Kansas Heart Hospital.

The groom graduated from Chase County High School and Kansas State University. He is employed in farming and ranching. The couple honeymooned in Alaska.
