Williams, Billy Joe & Margie

Billy Joe and Margie Thompson Williams will Celebrate their fiftieth wed anniversary on Sunday, June 29, 2003 from 1-3 p.m. at the Florence Recreation Center.

They met at Harrell High School in Harrell, Ark., and were married after Billy Joe returned from the Korean War. The couple moved to the local area in March 1958.

Billy Joe retired from Fina/Coastal Refining after 25 years and has been farming and ranching all that time. He is a member of the American Legion.

Margie was a machinist at Bag Pac in Cullindale, Ark., and worked at Rotz in Florence. She has been a homemaker and active member of the Wonsevu Christian Church and Ladies Aid Society.

The event will be hosted by Gary Williams of Cedar Point and his fiancee Terrv Steinbacher of Wichita: Gayla and Will Soyez of Cedar Point; and their grandchildren. Carl Williams of'Manhattan and Samantha and Elliot Soyez of Cedar Point. Friends and family are invited to celebrate this occasion. The couple request no gifts.
