Cooley, Jabez B

Jabez B. Cooley was born June 13, 1839. There is some debate about whether he was born in SW Ohio or SE Indiana but it was close to the Whitewater River which flows through both Southeastern Indiana and Southwestern Ohio.

He died May 18, 1909 in Leon, Butler County, Kansas. His parents were Henry and Jemima (Hieatt) Cooley.

Sarah Elizabeth Cooley (Harter) was born July 15, 1845 and died June 7, 1909 in Leon, Kansas. Her parents were Allen and Rebecca Harter. Jabez and Sarah married in Wabash County, Indiana on October 8, 1861.

Their daughter Charlotte Ann Cooley was born July 16, 1866 in Wabash County, Indiana. She married Orville Allison Martindale on September 7, 1885 in Wabash County.

She died in Fort Worth, Texas on May 18, 1957, and was buried in Cleo Springs, Oklahoma.

Orville was born February 14, 1864 in Wabash County, Indiana, the son of William Chenoweth Martindale and Hannah Coddington Personnett.

He died just outside of Cleo Springs, Oklahoma on April 15, 1930 and is buried in Cleo Springs.
