Crouch & Whipkey Families

Submitted by Janice Fawcett

Earnest F. Whipkey married Grace Crouch

Their children:

Helen Jane Whipkey born August 13, 1909. Her married name was Ball.

The Crouch Family:

John M. Crouch married Sarah J. Turner

Courtland Crouch married Norwilla M. Bailey

Their child: Arthur Crouch born Oct. 8 1885 C. Crouch and M. M. Bailey are the same family as the above:

C. is the abreviation of Courtland Crouch and M. M. Bailey is abbreviation for Norwilla Mary Bailey.

Their child was a male child born Oct. 14, 1904. His name was Hershel Crouch.

The last 2 families with the abbreviated first names are one and the same family. They are not 4 different married couples , but are as 2 persons, or one couple with 2 sons, Arthur and Hershel.

I found this in the courthouse records in Cottonwood Falls. The is the most elegant court house for its time and the little town was very interesting. The People there were very helpful to me in my search.
