Injuries: Fractured right ankle, caused by a fall while on duty at Washington, D C on Nov 28, 1861

Second Enlistment: Aug 22 1864 at Scranton, PA
Private company A, 143rd Regiment Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry.
Honorably Discharged: June 12 1865 at Hart Island, New York Harbor
He lived in Harveyville, PA after the War until March 1876, and then relocated to Elmdale, Kansas.
He died at the Old Soldier's Home in Dodge City, Ford, Kansas

A. Maxwell ; Mother: Ellen

Son: Archie P. Forbes; Born: May 11, 1878 ; Place: Elmdale, Chase, Kansas ; Died: April 20 1944; Place: Winfield, Cowley, Kansas; Burial: Elmdale Cemetery, Elmdale, Chase, Kansas; He was born retarded, and was cared for by Winfield Training School after the death of his parents. His mother died prematurely. She succumbed to complications one week after surgery. Archie was admitted to the Kansas State Home for the Feeble-Minded on July 9, 1915.
