Wilcox, Harry Martin
Harry Martin Wilcox was born November 4,
1895, at Corning, Nemaha County, Kansas, graduated from CCHS in 1916 and from the Kansas
City Western Dental College, now the University
of Missouri at Kansas City, Missouri in 1923.
He enlisted and served with M Company 139
U.S. Infantry 35 Division in World War I, spending
one year in France.
He is a life member of the American Dental
Association, Kansas State Dental Association,
and past president of the Kansas 5th District
Society.
He is a Mason, a member of Zeradatha Lodge
#80 Cottonwood Falls, Topeka Consistory, Emporia Commandery, Arab '.Marine Temple, Newlee
Post #78 American Legion, serving two terms as
Commander, elected Mayor of Cottonwood Falls
two terms, 1929-31, served on grade school board,
president and secretary of Chamber of Commerce
two terms, secretary of Kansas Rockne Memorial
Association (he and Frank Lostutter of Emporia
only two remaining members). He is a member of
the Presbyterian Church.
He married Loretta Matti, August 16, 1942.
He has practiced continuously since 1923.
