Cutler's History of Kansas -- Chase County

 

     William G. Cutler's History of the State of Kansas was first published in 1883 by A. T. Andreas, Chicago, Illinois.    Each county was described by its location and natural features, giving maps and population descriptions, history of each township, its war record, the county's organization and elections, important buildings and granges, schools and other county statistics are listed.  Its leading citizens were introduced with  a biographical sketch first within the county leadership and then by township leadership.
