Adcock, Donald G

Former Strong City resident Donald G. Adcock, 72, of Rodessa La., died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2005, at Plain Dealing, La., after a lengthy illness.

The son of William Earl and Raby Brewer Adcock, he was born June 10, 1932, at Rodessa, La. He married Olla Faye Clark on Aug, 4, 1951, in Kansas. They were divorced. He married Linda Adams in 1979 in Louisiana. They were divorced.

Mr. Adcock retired from the Army after 20 years of service and the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Department, also, after 20 years of service.

Mr. Adcock was a member of the First Baptist Church in Rodessa, La.

He is survived by four sons, Marvin Adcock of Strong City, Gary Adcock of Americus, Kevin Adcock of Cottonwood Falls and Jason Adcock of Indiana; three sisters, Jo Lane Hardin and Jeanette Head, both of Texas and Mariam Brackman of Arkansas; two brothers, B.J. Adcock of Texas and Carl M. Adcock of Alabama; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The graveside service was held Friday, Feb. 25,2005, in Walnut Hill Cemetery at Vivian, La.

Memorial contributions may be sent to the Chase County All Veterans, Memorial, Box 640, Cottonwood Falls, KS 66845. The McGuire Funeral Home in Vivan, La. has the arrangements.
