Albin, Isaac D
The death of Isaac D. Albin, one of the best known residents of the east part of the county occurred on Wednesday of last week at the home of his son, Charles H. Albin, in Saffordville. Mr. Albin was born in Harrison county, Indiana, April 14, 1836. The early part of his life was spent in Indiana, and he married in Edgar county, Illinois, to Ruth E. Clark, October 31, 1862.
To Mr. and Mrs. Albin were born ten children, Sarah, who is dead; George E., of Oklahoma; John B., of Kansas; James S., of Arkansas; Mrs. Nora E. Wessinger, of Texas; Mrs Mollie V. Fuller of Oklahoma; William A., Charles H., Fredcrick S., and Thomas R., all of Kansas.
The Albins moved to Minnesota in 1867. They came to Kansas in 1889, and this state and Arkansas ever since have been Mr. Albin's home. He became a christian in young manhood, and lived true to his profession. He leaves beside his nine children, fifty grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The funeral services were conducted by C. C. Haines, and interment was made in Toledo cemetery.
