Anderson, Doris V
Chase County native Doris V. Anderson, 88, died Dec. 20, 2003, at the Weatherly Inn at Lake Meridian in Kent, Wash. She had lived in Renton, Wash., for the past two years with her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Kaye Anderson.
The daughter of John Walter and Myrtle Yenser Erickson, she was born Dec. 17, 1915, in Chase County.
She attended the Chase
County Community School. She married Lloyd Anderson on April 26, 1941. He died Nov. 26, 2001, after 60 years of marriage.
Mrs. Anderson taught for six years at the Fox Creek School in Chase County.
She later lived in Wichita, where she worked at Macy's then for many years at Lee Reed Engravings.
She is also survived by a
granddaughter, Kimberly Anderson of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and a great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a grandson, Michael Anderson.
Burial will be after a service on Friday, April 23, 2004, at 11:15 a.m. at the Saffordville United Methodist Church. After the burial, a reception and luncheon are planned.
She has been cremated.
