Arnold, Frank
Frank Arnold is dead. Frank Arnold died at his home, just west of Lyon County Kansas, last Thursday, August 18th, 1904 of apoplexy. While Frank has been suffering for some time, the end came suddenly,Thursday morning when breakfast was ready. Mrs. Arnold tried to arouse Frank but could not. She sent to Saffordville for Dr. Hoover who was unable to arouse him. Then, Dr. Conaway of this city and Dr. Diddle of Emporia were summoned but nothing could be done and Mr. Arnold never regained consciousness, dying at 9:10 that evening.
Frank was a hard worker and had acquired considerable property, owning one good farm in this county and one in Lyon County.
Frank Arnold was 51 years 6 months old, having been born in Hancock County, Indiana, February 17, 1853. On October 25, 1876 he was married to Miss Mary E Trimble who with their daughter, Mrs. Cora Roth survive him. He also leaves four brothers, two sisters and father, Joseph Arnold of Strong City, to mourn his death.
The funeral was held at the home, Sunday morning at 9 oclock and his body was buried in Prairie Grove cemetery west of this city.
