Barr, Mollie Mrs.Mollie Barr, oldest resident of Diamond Springs and one of the earliest settlers of Morris County, died at the home of her son, Carl Barr, Tuesday, following a long illness. Mrs Barr was in her ninetieth year.
The funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Barr home at Diamond Springs.
Mrs. Barr was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, July 13, 1849. When ten years of age she came to Kansas with her parents in the fall of 1859 and they settled on a farm near Hymer, now owned by Andrew Drummond.
She was married in 1879 to Frank Barr and soon after this the family moved to Diamond Springs where she resided sixty years to the time of her death.
Mr. Barr's death occurred inj 1934. Mr. and Mrs Barr were the parents of four children. One daughter died in infancy and another daughter, Erma Barr,died in 1916. The death of the other daughter, Mrs. S. P. Loomis was in 1934. Carl Barr who lives on the Barr farm is the only surviving child. She also leaves two grandchildren, James and Jean Barr. Another relative Mrs Barr leaves is Carl O. Bennett of Diamond Springs.
