Benjamin, Wilma Jean
Wilma Jean Benjamin, 82, of Newton died July 24, 2007, at Newton Presbyterian Manor, Newton.
The daughter of Charles and Lulu Lutt Mock, she was born Aug. 8, 1924, at Burns.
She was a retired Boeing employee. She managed a liquor store in Newton for a number of years. She was a resident of Newton for 44 years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the Bowling Association and was a 50-year member of the VFW Women�s Auxiliary.
She is survived by guardian, Twila Chaloupke of Wichita; a brother, William Mock of Texas; and a sister, Mildred Pinkston of Cottonwood Falls. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Patricia Benjamin; a sister, Alice Auerbach; and a brother, Lloyd Mock.
Services were Friday, July 27, at the Greenwood Cemetery with Chaplain Bill Regier of Presbyterian Manor, Newton, officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery, Newton.
