Bennett, Audrey John Audrey John Bennett, 93, of Strong City, died March 26, 2002, at Newman Regional Health. Emporia. Services were held March 30, 2002, at St. Anthony's Church in Strong City. Burial was in Strong City Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Chase County Senior Center in care of Croy Funeral Home Cottonwood Falls.
Audrey John Bennett was born April 22, 1908, to James Abraham and Kathryn McNulty Bennett at Dardanelle, Ark. He married Helen Fritze Dec 2, 1967 at Strong City. She died Jan, 1998.
He was a WWII veteran and worked on a bridge crew for Santa Fe Railroad. He was a 35 year resident of Strong City and he was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Strong City.
Survivors include one son, Joe Fritze, Olathe; two daughters, Julia Fritze, Kiowa and Andrea Fritze, Rogers, Ark; two brothers, Wilfred Bennett, El Reno, Okla, and Fabian Bennett, Oklahoma City, Okla; two sisters Dorothy Bennett, Oklahoma City, Okla. and Rita Connell, Omaha, Neb; and three grandchildren.
