Bonewell, Henry Many of the older residents of this city will be grieved to learn of the death of Henry Bonewell who used to run the Eureka Hotel and for sixteen years was a resident of Cottonwood Falls. Concerning his death the
Emporia Gazette of Monday's issue says:
"Henry Bonewell died this morning at 7:20 at the home of his son, Nelson Bonewell, 1124 Constitution Street. He had been in failing health for the past year. Henry Bonewell was born near Hull, Eng., in November 1831. When 2 years old he moved to Canada, where He grew up, locating later in Cleveland, Ohio, where fiftyfive years ago he was married to Miss Agnes Sanderson. The family came to Kansas in 1880, settling in Cottonwood Falls, where Mr.
Bonewell was engaged in the hotel business or a number of years. For the past fifteen years he has lived in Emporia, and since the death of his wife three years ago, had lived with Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Bonewell. Mr. Bonewell was a life long member of the Episcopal Church. He is survived by his son, Nelson Bonewell, and one daughter, Mrs. Joseph Roach, of Emporia. The funeral will be held Wednesday
morning at 10 o'clock from the home. Rev. R. H. Mize will have charge of the services, and the interment will be made in Maplewood Cemetery.
