Bumgardner, Eliza Jane
Aged Cottonwood Falls Woman Passes at Home.
Funeral rites for Mrs. Jane Bumgardner are to be Saturday afternoon at Croy Funeral Home.
Mrs. Eliza Jane Bumgardner, 85, passed away at her home in Cottonwood Falls at 11 o�clock Monday night. She had been in failing health for the last six weeks. A resident of this community for the last 35 years, she had been remarkably active for her years until she sustained a fractured hip about seven months ago after which she was not able to walk again.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2: 30 o�clock Saturday afternoon, March 26, at the Croy Funeral Home. Clifford L Deister, of the Cottonwood Falls Church of Christ, will be in charge. Interment will be in Prairie Grove cemetery.
Immediate survivors are three sons and three daughters, Ted, of the home; Al and Dean Bumgardner of Eureka; Linna Cole of Miami Fla.; Margaret Miller and Pearl Bell of Bell, Calif. Preceeding her in death were her husband and three children.

Funeral rites Saturday for Mrs. Jane Bumgardner
Funeral servicesfor Mrs Eliza Jane Bumgardner, who passed away at her home in Cottonwood Falls, Monday night, March 21, were held at the Croy Funeral home Saturday afternoon. March 26,at 2:30 o�clock. Clifford L Deister of the Church of Christ was in charge. Robert Way sang, accompanied at the piano by Miss Maria Bell Simmons. The pall bearers were Glenn Baumgardner. Gene Baumgardner, Frank Bumgardner, Dale Bumgardner, Kenneth Allen, and Junior Bucher. Interment was in Prairie Grove cemetery.
Eliza Jane Bumgardner, daughter of Solomon A and Mary E Dean, was born August 6,1869, at New Boston, Ill She was united in marriage with George Lincoln Bumgardner, May 20, 1889, at Burlington, Kans. They came to Cottowood Falls in 1920. She was preceeded in death by her husband, three children and one grandson.
Surviving her are three sons and three daughters, Al Bumgardner and Dean Bumgardner, Eureka, Kans.; Ted Bumgarder of the home; Linnie Cole, of Miami, Fla.; Margaret Miller and Pearl Bell of Bell Calif, one brother, William Dean of Columbus Junction, Iowa; one sister, Sadie Helm, Norton, Kans.; twenty-two grandchildren, thirty-one great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren, other relatives and a host of friends.
She was a devout Christian and was a member of the Church of Christ, Cottonwood Falls.
