Carnine, Helen Wilson

Helen Wilson Carnine, 90, died Thursday, Oct. 19, 2006, at Emporia Rehab in Emporia.

Helen, the daughter of William J. Wilson and Frances Stotler, was born Oct. 23, 1915, in rural Chase County.

She worked as a librarian. She was a member of several garden clubs and the Library School Alumnus Association.

She is survived by a niece and cousins including, Dorothy M. Johnson, Jacque and Mike Schmidt, and Adam and Mellisa Shaw all of Chase County.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry J. Carnine; parents; and a brother, William F. Funeral services were at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Emporia, Monday, Oct. 23. Burial was in Maplewood/Memorial Lawn.

Memorial are suggested to The Emporia Public Library. Charter Funeral, 501 W 6th Ave., Emporia was in charge of the arrangements.
