Frank L. Cooper, 81, of Cottonwood Falls, who was a native and lifetime resident of Chase County, died unexpectedly Tuesday evening, Oct. 21st, while returning home from a fishing outing with his wife and son, Leslie Cooper, from an apparent heart attack.
Born Jan. 16, 1894, in the Rocky Glen neighborhood, he was a son of Joel A. and Rhoda Ann Campbell Cooper, and he was married to Hazel Yeager on March 19, 1918, at Bazaar. They had farmed for 44 years in the Bazaar and Saffordville vicinities before retiring in 1962 and they had since made their home in Cottonwood Falls.
Surviving him are his wife, of the home; one son, Leslie Cooper, Cottonwood Falls; one daughter, Mrs. Harold (Ruth) Quick, Antioch, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Francis (Marie) Bray, Cottonwood Fails, and Mrs. Paul (Della Walle, Wichita; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, May Cooper; and four brothers, Albert, Milburn, Arthur and Joel Cooper.
