Cox, Patricia Ann

Patricia Ann Cox, 74, Emporia, died Feb. 18, 2005, at the Presbyterian Manor Jones Center.

Patricia, the daughter of Richard Bullock and Fannie H. Jones, was born Jan. 30, 1931 in Strong City, Kansas.

Mrs. Cox was a home- maker.

She married Walter Cox on Aug. 5, 1950. He preceded her in death on Nov. 19, 1991.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Brent Allan Cox and Terry Cox;and two brothers, Glen Bullock and Henry H. Bullock.

She is survived by one son, Gerry Cox of Madison; two daughters, Carla Thurston and, Glenda Loomis of Emporia; one brother, Richard E. Bullock of Cape Coral, Fla.; one sis- ter, Maryellen Strand of Delores, Colo.; six grand- children; and two great- grandchildren.

She was a member of the Reading Baptist Church. She was also an auxiliary member of both the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. The memorial service was Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005, at the Twelfth Avenue Baptist Church. The reverend Al Areheart officiated the service. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Hand in Hand Hospice, 1015 Industrial Road, Suite A, Emporia, KS 66801.

Charter Funeral Home, Emporia had the funeral arrangements.
