Critser, Rose A.
The recent death of Mrs. Rose A. Whitlock-Critser which occurred at Montepelier, Idaho, on December 11th, brings regret to her many former friends and acquaintances in the west part of county where she lived for many years. Mrs. Critser was a sister of Glen Whitlock, of this city.
The deceased was born in Terra IIaute, Indiana, June 6th, 1875, and came to Chase county with her parents at the age of eleven years.
She was united in marriage to Chas. A. Critser of Florence, Kansas, March 6, 1892. To them seven children were born. They made their home on a farm near Florence, Kansas.
In the summer 1915 they moved to Soda Springs, Idaho, and lived there one year, then moving to Montpelier, Idaho, where the deceased passed away following a short illness.
She had a paralytic stroke, a blood vessel in the side of her head bursting and the blood rushing to the heart, causing her death.
Her husband and seven children survive her, Mrs. Clarence Gurley of Florence, Kansas, Harry, of Alberta, Canada, Mrs. Geo. R. Payton of Burns, Mrs. Wm. Short, of Chicago, William now stationed at Brooks Field, San Antonio, Texas, Albert and Beulah of Montepelier, Ida., also four sisters three brothers, her father and six grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at the Methodist Church of Montepelier, Idaho, and burial was made in the Montepelier cemetery.
