Cuthbert, Mary Bell

DEATH OF MRS. RICHARD CUTHBERT

Mrs. Richard Cuthbert died at her late residence four miles east of this city, last Sunday at 9:15, of dropsy, after long and painful suffering. The deceased was a strong believer in Christian religion and a studious Bible reader.

Her maiden name was Mary Bell. She was born in Hornby, Yorkshire, England, Mar 2, 1820 and married Richard Cuthbert in December, 1843. They moved to this country in 1851 and came to this county in Mar 1870 where they have since resided.

They had two children one of whom, Mrs. Hunter, is living, who, with the bereaved husband, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, mourn her loss.

The funeral services were held in the U P church at 12 o'clock yesterday morning, from which the body was removed to Prairie Grove cemetery and interred.

Rev. John Maclean conducted the services.
