Dawson, Michael Ray Michael Ray Dawson, 57, died Friday, June 24, 2005, at his home in Waverly.
The son of George W. and Ruby Geraldine Horton Dawson, he was born June 1, 1948, in Emporia. He grew up in Waverly and graduated from Waverly High School in 1966. He then attended the Flint Hills Area Vocational Technical School.
Mr. Dawson, a farmer and stockman for most of his life, also worked for 11 years as a welder at Sauder Tank Co. in Emporia.
He was a member of the board of Farm Bureau and a member of the Waverly and Lyndon saddle clubs.
He is survived by two sons, Ryan Michael Dawson of Lebo and George Ray Dawson of Kennewick, Wash.; and a
sister, Georganne
Chapman of Piedmont, Okla.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Marion Dawson.
The funeral was June 28, 2005, in Jones Funeral Home at Burlington. Burial was at Lincoln Cemetery at Lebo.
