Diehl, Charles Edwin

Charles E. Diehl, 64, died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2003, at the Chase County Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services were Nov. 11, 2003, at the Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home. The Rev. Melody Kimbrel officiated. Interment was in Bazaar Cemetery, Bazaar.

Charles Edwin Diehl, the son of Aaron Chester and Gladys May Hill Diehl, was born Sept. 15, 1939, at Montrose, Colo. He helped his father in the farming/ranching business until his father's death in 1979. He, then, helped his mother continue to raise cattle. He was a member of the Bazaar United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his mother and a sister, Barbara Kirk, both of Cottonwood Falls and other extended family. He went to Camp Chippewa one year and enjoyed it so much that his family hopes contributions can help another child enjoy camp. Memorial con- tributions to Camp Chippewa in Ottawa may be sent in care of the funer- al home, 201 Cherry, Cottonwood Falls, KS. 66845.
