Dressler, Pearl D

The graveside service for Pearl D Dressler, 79, formerly of Gridley and a resident of Alterra Sterling House in Emporia, was Monday in Gridley Cemetery at Gridley. David Kraft Officated. Memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association may be sent to the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home.

Mrs. Dressler, who was a homemaker, died Dec. 20, 2001 at Alterra Sterling House. Pearl D Phillips, the daughter of Joe and Emily McCoy Phillips, was born May 12, 1922 at Virgil. She married Roy Glen Dressler on June 21, 1942, at Emporia. He died July 10, 1986. Mrs Dressler was a member of the Gridley First Christian Church. She also was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Gravel Hill Community Club at Gridley.

She is survived by two daughters, Norma Watson of Emporia and Glenda Robertson of McPherson; a brother, Lawrence Phillips of California; a sister, Eudene Kleinsorte of Delta, Colo.; and four grandchildren.

A daughter, Joyce Ilene Phillips and two sisters, Marjorie Spitler and Virginia Decker, died earlier.
