Dunagan, Mike

Mike Dunagan died Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005, after a brief battle with a rare type of multiple myeloma with associated amyloidoisis.

He was an alumnus of the University of Kansas, a Vietnam veteran and served as caregiver, educator and trauma specialist in the field of air evacuation. He owned and operated R&S Barbeque and The Cedar Saloon in Wichita. Most recently Mike re-joined healthcare in an EMS sales force.

Mike is survived by his wife, Betty Dunagan; son, Justin; and twin daughters, Kenzie and Marissa; a brother, David; his father, Bill Dunagan; and many members of the Horst family from Elmdale.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mymaloy Dunagan; his wife, Cindy Horst Dunagan, the daughter of Dan and Mary Ann Horst McCallum; and a son, Seth Dunagan. Services will be held Saturday, Jan. 14, at 1 p.m. in Wichita at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.

All are invited to a reception following the service at The Lettuce Club, 2120 N. Woodlawn in Wichita. Burial will take place Sunday, Jan. 15, with members of the immediate family in Strong City.
