Fagg, Charles Milton Area Resident
Many Years Dies
C.M. Fagg 88. Had Lived
Part Of Life In Chase County. Rites
At Florence, Burial Here
C. M. Fagg, who had resided in the Matfield Green and Bazaar areas of
Chase County the greater part of his
life, died Sunday at his home in Florence. He was 88 years, 10 months and
18 days of age.
Funeral services were held Saturday
at the First Christian Church. in Florence
with Rev. Keith W. Purcell officiating. Mrs. J. D. Robinson accompanied the soloist, Benard Stromberg.
Pallbearers were Frank Gaddie, Fred
Taylor, Sam Brickell, Paul Sidler Everett Robinson and Tom Fischer. Burial
was in Prairie Grove Cemetery, Cottonwood Falls. The Rotz Funeral Home,
Forence, was in charge of arrangements.
Charles Milton Fagg son of Pleasant
and Rebecca Fagg, was born March 10,
1876 near Marion and died January 28,
1965. He moved with his parents to
lived in the Matfield Green and Bazaar areas most of his life.
Mr. Fagg was married to Nora R
Rainard 03 1903 at Cottonwood Falls, and they were the parents of three sons and three daughters.
T'he family lived near Matfield Green
until the year 1912 which they spent in Arkansas. Later they rnoved to a
farm near Bazaar where Mr. Fagg continucd to feed cattle, then to Strong
City where he was engaged in dairy
work. In 1944 they moved to Florence
where he was engaged in dairy work
for the Alder family. In later years
he cared for the Alder property.
Surviving him are his wife of the
home; three sons. Marion E, and Dorphus C., Emporia, and Clifford A., Paola three daughters, Althea May Robinson, Liberty, Mo. Beulah Wagner,
Culver City, Calif.; and. Jessie Parks,
Clements; one brother, David, and one
sister Phoebe, both of Matfield Green;
eight grandchildren and nine great-
grandchildren. He was preceded In
death by his parents, two brothers,
William and John, and one sister, Emmy
