Fagg, Rebecca Jane DEATH OF
MRS. PLEASANT FAGG
Mrs. Pleasant Fagg died at her
home at Matfield Green last Thursday, Feb. 6th, 1936 following an illness of
about two weeks. Mrs. Fagg was
one of the best known residents of
the Matfield vicinity where she had
lived continuously for the past fifty-
three years. Her death brings regret to a wide circle of friends and
acquaintances.
The funeral services were held at
Matfield Green Monday afternoon,
Feb. 10th, at 2:30 o'clock, with Rev.
E. M. Scott, pastor of the Presbyterian church of this city, preaching
the sermon. Interment was made in
the Matfield Green cemetery.
Rebecca Jane Stanley, the daughter of Andrew and Hannah Holloway
Stanley was born on March 15th,
1854, at Muncie, Indiana. She passed away at her home near Matfield
Green on February 6th, 1936, at the
age of 81 years, 10 months and 19
days.
When 13 years of age she came
with her parents to Marion county
where she lived for fifteen years.
In 1877 she was married to Pleasant
Fagg and they came to Chase county
in 1882, settling on the farm where.
Mrs. Fagg died. Mr. Fagg's death
occurred in 1917.
They were the parents of five
children who survive. They are John
Fagg of Oklahoma, Charles and Dave
Fagg of Bazaar, Mrs. Phoebe Littlefield of Pontiac, Mo., and William Fagg, who lived with his mother. Mrs. Fagg was a birthright member.

Aged Woman is Buried In Matfield Cemetery After Services at High School
Mrs. Rebecca Fagg, well known
Matfield Green woman, died Thursday at her home. She was almost
82 years of age. Funeral services
were held Monday afternoon at
2:30 o'clock in the high school
auditorium in Matfield Green, and
interment was in the Matfield
Green cemetery. The Rev. E. M.
Scott, pastor of the Cottonwood
Falls Presbyterian church, conducted the services.
