Faulkner, Dorothy Elizabeth Ehrlich
Dorothy Elizabeth Faulkner, 87, died Dec. 11, 2005.
Dorothy, the daughter of John and Maria Drotleff Ehrlich, was born Dec. 30, 1917, in Brawley, Calif. At the age of two her family moved to Yuma, Ariz., where she lived the remainder of her life. The family homesteaded on the Yuma Mesa in the late 1920's. She was a student of Yuma Elementary Schools and a graduate of Yuma High School.
She married Carl Arthur Faulkner on June 14, 1926. The couple reared six children. She was a homemaker, owner of Ehrlich's Date Garden and a servant of God. She was a long-time member of the Lutheran Church and was active in many areas of church service.
She is survived by her children, Helen Wexelberg, San Diego, Calif., Margaret Thompson, George Faulkner, David Faulkner, RoseAnn Smith, Yuma,
Ariz.; Catherine Jones, Strong City; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; four nieces and nephews; 11 great nieces and nephews; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, a sister and her husband.
Graveside services were held at Desert Lawn Memorial Park on Friday, Dec. 16, with Pastor Stephen Sanderson officiating.
