Fisher, Floyd G

Floyd G Fisher, 92 died at Morris County Hospital in Council Grove Aug. 27,2001.  Funeral Services were held Wednesday, Aug. 29, in theBrown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home with The Rev. John Hastings of the StrongCity United Methodist Church officiating.  Burial was in Bazaar Cemetery.

Floyd G. Fisher was born on Jan. 19, 1909, in Domittsche, Germany to John and Helen Selma Hengesbach Fisher. 

He married Bertha Thompson on Feb. 7, 1958,at Salina.  She preceded him in death.  Mr. Fisher was a cowboy/farmerfor several ranches in Chase and Marion Counties before he purchased his ownland in the Bazaar area in later life.

He is survived by a daughter, Diana Sigel of Cottonwood Falls; sisters, HelenThompson of Elmdale, Julia Fagg of Emporia and Clara Jo Swank of Homeland,California; four grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Karl Fisher and Tim Fisher and two sisters,Dagmar Sherer and Marianna Westermann.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Heart Associationin care of the funeral home.
