Giddings, Billy E.
Billy Earl Giddings, 78, of Basehor, died Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at the Kansas City Hospice House.
He was born on May 19, 1930, at Cedar Point to Floyd and Myrtle Riggs Giddings. He was a Marine Veteran of the Korean War.
He worked for Young and Cooper Cattle Company of Wichita and in 1968 moved to the Kansas City area to work for P.I.E. Trucking Company.
He and his wife moved to Basehor in the early 1970s. He retired from ABF Freight Lines in 1997.
He is survived by three daughters, Marcheta Hightower and Bridget Maffry both of Basehor, and Roxanna Ledbetter of Kansas City, Kan.; two sons, Michael Winkle, Andover and TJ Giddings of Dallas, Texas; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Monday, July 7, at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home, with burial following at the Bonner Springs Cemetery.
