Gillum, Anna Mae Lyon County native Anna Mae Gillum, 99, of Bonner Springs, died Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2005, at the Overland Park Regional Medical Center.
She was born May 12, 1906, in Hartford. She lived in Emporia and Leavenworth before moving to Bonner Springs in 1946, where she worked at the Ben Franklin store and
was a member of the First Christian Church.
Later, she was a member of the Open Door Baptist Church in Kansas City, Kan.
She married Sam N. Gillum on Sept. 18, 1925, in Cottonwood Falls. He died in 1980.
A son, Sam E. Gillum, died in 1949.
She is survived by a son,
Bob Gillum of Bonner Springs; four granddaughters; 17 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.
The funeral was
Thursday, Aug. 18, 2005, at
the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs. Burial was at the
Hartford Cemetery,
Hartford.
