Luella M. Harshman, 74, died Tuesday, April 12, 2005, at Newman Regional Health, Emporia.

Luella Mae Waymire, the daughter of Warren O. and Katherine Elizabeth Sieg Waymire, was born Oct. 9, 1929, in Madison. She married Frank K. Harshman Feb. 20, 1952, at Madison. He died Jan. 25, 1993.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Cedar Point Community Church, where she served on several Hospitality Committees. She was a member of two bridge clubs and served on the West Cottonwood Township Election Board.

She is survived by three sons, Frank W. Harshman, Warren Harshman and Jeff Harshman all of Cedar Point; one sister, Mary Jeanne Tinberg of Leawood; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents.

The funeral service was Friday, April 15, 2005, at the Flint Hills Community Church in Cottonwood Falls. The Rev. Eldon Cox and The Rev. John Ratzlaff officiated. Entombment followed at Clements Cemetery.

Memorial contributions to the Frank K and Luella Mae Harshman Scholarship Fund at Chase County High School may be sent in care of Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home, 201 Cherry, Cottonwood Falls, KS 66845.

Your prayers, flowers memorial gifts, cards, calls and visits were greatly appreciated and will not be forgotten. Your kindness during this difficult time has been a comfort to us.
