Havens, Craig Alan

Craig A. Havens, 47, Ottawa, formerly of Cottonwood Falls, died Tuesday, May 13, 2003, at his home. A Celebration of Life Service was May 17, 2003, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Emporia. The Rev. Peter Rupprecht officiated. Burial was in Prairie Grove Cemetery, Cottonwood Falls.

Craig Alan Havens, son of Charles and Bernice Gullage Havens, was born Nov. 2, 1955, at Morris Plains, N.J. He graduated from high school in Cliffside Park, N.J. He graduated from Bethany College in Lindsborg. He married Karla Tuley on Aug. 4, 1979, at Scandia. They were divorced and she survives.

He was the manager of Burger King in Ottawa for six years. He is survived by a son, Brook Havens of Emporia; a daughter, Kenna Havens of Cottonwood Falls; a sister, Barbara Frankel of Franklin Lakes, N.J.; and a brother, Chuck F Havens of Dover, N.J. His parents preceded him in death.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Chase County High School Athletic Memorial Fund and may be sent in care of Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home, 201 Cherry, Cottonwood Falls, KS 66845.
