Hazel, James Jas. Hazel, an old and highly respected citizen of this city, died last Thursday at the residence of Frank Yeager, near Bazaar, and was buried in Prairie Grove cemetery Friday afternoon. He was 75 years old and was sick a long time. The deceased was born in England and came to this country in 1860.
The funeral services were conducted by H C Case at the Methodist church, and the remains were followed to their resting place by a large number of sorrowing friends and relatives.
He leaves a widow and 10 children, viz: Mrs. Will Spencer, Mrs. Judge Madden, Mrs. John Shofe, Mrs. Frank Yeager, Mrs. Crookshank of Kansas City, Mrs. Wells, of Junction City, Marette, Teddy, Hermie, and James of Carrolton, Mo.
