Hett, Joyce Keazer Janzen Joyce Keazer Janzen Hett, 72, died July 26, 2005.
Joyce, the daughter of Paul and Evelyn Remmers Keazer, was born Nov. 10, 1932, in Wichita. She graduated from Marion High School in 1950. She worked at the Marion County Courthouse and attended Emporia State for one year. She married Richard Janzen and they lived on a farm north of Hillsboro.
She married Russell Hett in 1979, they lived north of Canada, and belonged to the Aulne
United Methodist Church, where she was church secretary for many years. In 1986 they purchased and operated The Holiday Motel of Florence, until retirement in 1997. After Russell's death she moved to Marion in 1999, where she belonged to the Neo Century Club, Hospital Auxiliary, Bunco Club and Aulne United Methodist Women.
She is survived by three sons, Herb of Mulvane, James of Wichita and Martin of Oakley; three
stepsons, Dennis of
Manchester, N.H., Mel of Hunter, Okla. and Stan of Wichita; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Pauline and Nancy.
Funeral services were July 30, 2005, at Aulne United Methodist Church. Pastor Beth Ann Black officiated. Interment was in Marion Cemetery, Marion.
Memorials are suggested to the Auline United Methodist Church and Marion Library.
