Hopkins, Mary Olive Foxworthy Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Hopkins who died suddenly at her home in this city, last Wednesday, January 12, were held at the Brown Funeral home Friday afternoon at two-thirty, January 14 with Rev. J O Borton in charge. Mrs. Ralph Klamm and Mrs. Arrilla Merrill sang accompanied by Miss Louise Merritt. The pal bearers were J W Hamm, C
H Garrison, D M Smith, F D Forney, Floyd Gardner and L T McCue. Iinterment was in Prairie Grove cemetery.
Mary Olive Hopkins, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Foxworthy, was born February 17, 1868 at Crawford, Fountain county, Indiana. She came to Kansas with her parents in 1875. She was united in marriage to George Ellis Hopkins February 28, 1890, who preceded her in death July 22, 1913.
Mrs. Hopkins is survived two sisters, Mrs. Orpha Hopkins, Oklahoma City, Mrs. Arista Brown, Santa Rosa, California; two brothers, Frank Foxworthy, Newkirk, Oklahoma and Daniel Foxworthy, Strong City and other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Hopkins joined the Christian Church in Des Moines, Iowa in 1917.
