Ingalls, Sibyl B

Sibyl B. Ingalls, 78, died Monday, July 10, 2006, at the Chase County Health and Rehabilitation Center in Cottonwood Falls.

A celebration of life service will be held Friday, July 14, 2006, at 2 p.m., at the Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home in Cottonwood Falls. The Rev. John Hastings of the Strong City United Methodist Church will officiate with the burial at Strong City Cemetery in Strong City.

Sibyl B. Tyler, the daughter of Edgar and Opal Heckendorn Tyler, was born May 19, 1928, at Cedar Point. She married Donnie R. Ingalls on Nov 1, 1947, in Holbrook; Ariz. Ile died May 18, 2006. She was a secretary at the Strong City Grade School and Chase County Middle School in Strong City for 24 years.

She is survived by two sons, Donnie R. Ingalls Jr. and Gerald L. Ingalls, both of Strong City; two daughters, Nancy L. McCorgary and Kathy S. Sigler, both of Strong City; two brothers, Lloyd Tyler of Council Grove and Herbert Tyler of Ellinwood; three sisters, Vivian Berry of Apache Junction, Ariz., Sylvia Lansbury of Claude, Texas and Rachel Potter of Strong City; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Neil Tyler.

The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Thursday, July 13, from 6:30 until 7:30 p.m. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday from, 9 a.m. until service time. The family suggests contribution to the Chase County School, to be used at the school, for a project in her memory. Contributions may be sent in care of the funeral home, 201 Cherry, Cottonwood Falls, KS 66845.
