Janzen, Naomi N Naomi N. Janzen, 90, a resident of the Horizon Plaza since 1989, died Sunday, May 7, 2006, at Newman Regional Health, Emporia.
The daughter of Fred and Anna Teare Breese, she was born Oct. 23, 1915, at Parkerville. She married Emil L. Elbe. They were divorced. She married Henry Janzen on May 8, 1948, at Cottonwood Falls. He died Oct. 29, 1989, at Emporia.
Mrs. Janzen was a member of the UNI Club in Neosho Rapids and the Hi
Riser Club at Horizon Plaza.
She is survived by one daughter, Sharon Schaefer of Emporia; two sons, Edward Elbe of Pensacola, Fla. and Terry Hickman of Blue Springs, Mo.; a step-son, Larry Janzen of Emporia; one brother Dorman Breese of Santee, Calif.; one sister, Violet Baker of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; eight grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and nine stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Elbe; a brother, Delbert Breese; a sister, Irma Buck; and a grandson.
The funeral was Thursday, May 11, in the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Mic McGuire of Grace United Methodist Church conducted the service. Burial was in Fowler Cemetery.
