Jeffrey, Mary Alice Bourland

Mary A. Jeffrey, 70, died Monday, Dec. 10, 2007, at her home in Emporia.

Services will be held Friday, Dec. 14, 2007, at 11 a.m., in the Bazaar United Methodist Church at Bazaar with The Rev. Melody Kimbrel officiating. Burial will follow at Bazaar Cemetery, Bazaar.

The daughter of Lester and Blanche Featherkile Bourland, Mary Alice was born Aug. 31, 1937, at rural Cottonwood Falls. She graduated from Chase County High School and attended a year of college at Kansas State Teachers College in Emporia.

She and Wayne L. Jeffrey were married June 17, 1956, at the Cottonwood Falls United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Brad W. Jeffrey of Lee�s Summit, Mo. and Douglas L. Jeffrey of Littleton, Colo.; two sisters, Wilma Lou Tabing and Marge Mae Clark of Wichita; and one granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents.
