Johnson, Howard F Howard F. Johnson, 89, lifetime resident of Hamilton, died Saturday, April 15, 2006, at. Newton.
The son of Archie C. and
Mary Lenhart Johnson, he was born Jan. 3, 1917, at Hamilton. He graduated from Hamilton High School.
He married Ethel Ohmart Grockett on Dec. 23, 1976, at Berryton. She died in January 1990. He married Helen Brecht
Green on Nov 2, 1993, at
e.
Strong City. She survives.
He was a mechanic and did contract construction work for oil companies and farmers. He also was an oil producer.
He is also survived by a sister, Elma May Fry of Madison; four stepchildren; and several step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Robert Johnson, Floyd Johnson, Glen Johnson and Jack Johnson.
The funeral was Wednesday, April 19, in the United Methodist Church at Hamilton. The Rev. Mark Demas and the Rev. Larry Fry conducted the service. Burial was in Janesville Cemetery, west of Hamilton.
