Jones, Estella

OBITUARY OF MRS. A. F. JONES

Estella Hawkins was born near Clements, Kansas, December 29, 1878 and died in her home in Clements, May 24, 1913, aged thirty-four years, five months and twenty-four days. She was united in marriage to A. F. Jones, December 28, 1899. To this union were born three children, Ralph, Guy and Gertrude, all of whom are left to mourn the loss of a true mother. She also leaves her husband, her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. 1. R. Hawkins, one sister and three brothers, besides many other relatives and friends. She united with the Church of Christ, in Strong City, June 10th, 1903.

In her disposition she was quiet and unassuming, but always kind, gentle and true. In her home she was the ideal wife and mother, the comfort, needs and welfare of her family always having first place in her considerations. Now that it has pleased the Heavenly Father in His Great Love and Infinite Mercy to call her from the duties of this life to the fellowship of the Redeemed in Heaven, her chair will be vacant in the home, and her kindly influence will be missed both in the home and in the community, but she leaves behind her earth's richest heritage, that of a life well lived in the faithful performance of her duties, and her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Eugene Kramer of Strong City, in the Presbyterian Church at Clements, Sunday afternoon, May 25th, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Clements cemetery.
