Jordan, Lucille Nelle Campbell Lucille Nelle Jordan, 86, of Eureka died Jan 28, 2002 at Greenwood County Hospital in Eureka. Mrs. Jordan was a homemaker.
Lucille Nelle Campbell, the daughter of James Bascom and Minnie Belle Sampson Campbell, was born Oct 30, 1915, at Cottonwood Falls. She attended schools in Chase County and graduated from Toledo Township High School in1933. She then attended Campbell Beauty School in Emporia and graduated in 1934.
She married Albert Jordan on Dec 15, 1937 at Reading. They lived at Cottonwood Falls for a short time before
they moved to Colorado where they lived the rest of their married life. He died Aug 28 1989 and she moved to Eureka to be near her family. Mrs. Jordan was a member of the Women's Shrine.
She is survived by a sister, Margaret Carter of Mesa, Ariz.; and many nieces and nephews. Four brothers and two sisters died earlier. The funeral was in the Campbell-Kelley Funeral Home at Eureka. The Rev. Alan Hunter of the Jefferson Street Baptist Church conducted the service. The graveside service was in Hillside Cemetery at Saffordville.
