Kinsey, Hattie Pearl "Pat Cooper Hattie "Pat" Kinsey, 99, Emporia, died Monday, Dec. 11, 2006, at the Flint Hills Care Center in Emporia.
Hattie Pearl Cooper, the daughter of Isiah V. and Elizabeth Macky Cooper, was born Dec. 9, 1907. She and Virgil Kinsey were married March 29, 1925, at Cottonwood Falls. He preceded her in death in August 1978.
She was a farmer/rancher in the Matfield Green area as well as a bus driver. She lived in Topeka and worked as a nurse.
She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church and the Abigail Church Circle in Emporia.
She is survived by a son, Vernon W. Kinsey, Emporia; three daughters, Elizabeth M. Schroeder and Bobbie J. Hammond, both of Olpe and Patricia E. Ungeheuer, Topeka; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Belnah June Kinsey; five sisters; Lidia Rathke, Mamie Hinkley, Bertha Hayes, Bessie Brundage and Blanche Maddox; two brothers, Joe Cooper and Elmer Cooper; two grandsons; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were Saturday, Dec. 16, at The BrownBennett-Alexander Funeral Home in Cottonwood Falls with Pastor Leonard Wagner of the Church of God in Emporia. Burial followed at the Bazaar Cemetery, Bazaar.
