Krueger, Donald James �Jim�

Donald �Jim� Krueger, 62, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007, at his home in Strong City.

A celebration of life service will be held Friday, Jan. 4, 2008, at 11 a.m. at the Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home in Cottonwood Falls with Pastor Rick Smith, First Baptist Church in Cottonwood Falls, officiating. Cremation will follow the service and he will be inurned at the Halstead Cemetery at a later date.

Donald James Krueger, the son of Fred C. and Delia Dee White Krueger, was born March 20, 1945, at Emporia.

He and Carolyn Childers were married and divorced. He married Beverly Bea Hughes in 1928 at Cottonwood Falls. She died in 2000.

He worked many years as a trucker, including driving for Dolly Madison. He was a machine operator at Cable Tech and had been employed there since the opening of the factory six years ago.

He is survived by four sons, Richard Childers of Houston, Texas, Jerry Moore of Newton, Patrick Moore of Magnolia, Texas and Shane Krueger of Herington; four daughters Teresa Vandergrift of Wichita, Karen Hopkins of Newton, Delia Dee Krueger of Emporia and Donna Evans of Cottonwood Falls; two brothers, Chris Krueger and Richard Krueger both of Texas; a sister, Patricia O�Brien of Wichita; 18 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Glen Krueger; and two grandchildren.

Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday, from 9 a.m. til 8 p.m. and Friday, 9 a.m. until service time. Messages may be sent to the family at www.brown-bennet-alexander.com. Memorial contributions to Hand in Hand Hospice or the American Red Cross be sent in care of the funeral home, 201 Cherry, Cottonwood Falls, KS 66845.
