Larson, Alice E Alice E. Larson, 98, Lindsborg, died Thursday, June 24, 2004.
Alice Peterson, the daughter of Charles and Alma Olson Peterson, was born Jan. 20, 1906, at Assaria. She married Elmer Gustaf Larson Sept. 7, 1935, at Assaria. He died on Nov 3, 1991.
She was a retired school teacher and former owner of E.G. Larson Lumber Co. at Lindsborg. Before moving to Lindsborg, she was the owner of a lumberyard and hardware store at White City from 1939-1951.
She was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church, the WELCA of the church and held many offices in the church and the Synod; Smoky Valley Retired Teachers Association; Messiah Chorus; and the 1981 Svensk Hyllningsfest Queen.
Survivors include two sons, Dr. Loren Larson of Northfield, Minn. and Dr. Merlin Larson of Hillsborough, Calif; a sister
Almeda Ryding of Lindsborg; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Mauritz and Carl Peterson; and two sisters, Ruby Johnson and Myrtle Johnson.
A Memorial Service was Tuesday, June 29, 2004, at the Messiah Lutheran Church, Lindsborg. Private interment was in Assaria Lutheran Cemetery, Assaria.
Memorials may be made to the Bethany Home or Messiah Lutheran Church, both of Lindsborg.
