Chase Resident Dies after Long Illness
Mrs. Edward G. (Ada
Mae) Lea of Chase died at 1:10 pm today in District Hospital at Lyons, Ks
following four months illness.
She was born Ada Mae Scarbrough, November 18,
1898 at Princeton, Indiana. She married Edward G. Lea at Sedan, Kansas, November
13, 1936 and they came to Chase, Ks from Drumright, Oklahoma in 1942. She was a
member of the Baptist Church and Carnation Chapter 276, Eastern Star, both of
Chase.
Survivors are her husband Edward G., a daughter, Mrs. Wanda
McCarteney of Bromall, Pa; three sons, Orville J. Creacy of Olive Branch,
Illinois, Daiel D. Creacy, Orlando, Florida' Wayne E. Creacy of Great Bend, Ks;
a sister, Mrs. Martha McCrory of Enid, Oklahoma; a brother, John Killion, also
of Enid; 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements
were not complete at press time.
