Lewis, Austin Isreal The graveside service for Austin Isreal Lewis, 6, was Thursday in
Memorial Lawn Cemetery. The Rev. Clarence Marquardt of the Faith Lutheran Church
conducting the service. Contributions in his name to the memorial at Logan
Avenue School can be sent to the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, P O Box 175,
Emporia, KS 66801.
Austin Lewis died Sept. 16, 2001, in a two-vehicle
accident west of Emporia. Austin Isreal Lewis, the son of Jason Isreal and Amy
Marker Lewis, was born Feb. 7, 1995, at Emporia. Austin was a first-grade
student at Logan Avenue Elementary School and a Tiger Cub in Cub Scout Pack 165.
He also participated in the Society for Creative Anachronism.
He is survived by
his parents; a sister, Rhiannon Luraile Coffman of Strong City; grandparents
Larry and Nancy Smallwood of Emporia, Charles Marker and Betty Jo Bell of Canon
City, Color., David Lewis of Malvern, Ark., and Greg and Joyce Ziesenis of
Pensacola, Florida.; and great-grandparents John and Petra Ramirez of Emporia,
Beulah Marker of Manhattan and Electra Smallwood of Alton, Missouri.
Grandparents Peggy Lewis and Jim Blevins, and great-grandparents Betty
Ramirez and Homer Marker died earlier.
